Sawara Kurihama (
Appearance[]
Sawara is a woman of average height and built with a constantly gloomy expression which she only describes as "a side effect from working in the culinary sector". She has hazel colored eyes and black hair with a long strand being tied on the left side of her face.
Her outfit consists of a simple white button down with a black blazer along with a long black skirt. She also wears a red choker.
Personality[]
Despite her gloomy expression and near deadpan voice, Sawara is an easily excitable woman when it comes to talking about cooking. Her quiet nature often makes people underestimate her and her constant talk about food makes people worry if she really is a Grade 1 Sorcerer. However in combat, that devotion to food can instantly be transformed into her true combat prowess. Though by no means an 'extremely powerful' sorcerer, her focus and determination often becomes a detriment to her own safety.
Sawara in her youth was greatly inspired by Kenji Fukui and his show Iron Chef which made her pursue a career in the culinary arts. Sawara is someone who has a deep devotion to the food she creates, subscribing to the philosophy of One Moment, One Meeting (一期一会,, Ichigo Ichie?) as described by the tea master Sen no Rikyū from the Sengoku era. This philosophy also follows along with her when it comes to combat, not unwilling to fully put her life on the line for the sake of others.
After transferring to Tokyo for her job and being stationed at Tokyo Jujutsu High, she became quick friends with the far more bubbly Rin Ukishima. Despite this however, she found the life of a Jujutsu sorcerer to be difficult and decided to fully devote herself to the culinary arts. She currently works as a chef in Chōyō (朝陽,, lit. Morning Sunshine?), a small sushi restaurant in Sumida, Tokyo.
Abilities and Powers[]
Cooking Skill: Sawara is a professional sushi chef working at a high end sushi restaurant in Tokyo. Outside of her work for Jujutsu high, Sawara is well regarded to be one of the best chefs in her area. Her signature menu, surprisingly not a sushi menu but instead a rice-bowl. The Five Styles Ricebowl (五流丼, Gorudon?) which is a rice bowl made with five of the most expensive catches the restaurant receives on that day. Each of the fish is then prepared in its own unique way by Sawara to ensure that each fish brings a different flavor to the meal.

玖里 浜 ?) which means '9 li beach'; using the formal kanji for the number 9 (玖).- Her name is based on Kurihama, Yokosuka, the location where Commodore Matthew C. Perry dealt with the negotiations in opening Japan to the rest of the world.
