Nova (ノヴァ,, Nova^?) is a supporting character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a dog with injected cursed energy that assists his owner, Makoto Ino.

Appearance[]

Nova is a White Swiss Shepherd with medium-length snow white fur and brown eyes. On his back, he wears a blue harness with black lines alongside a small backpack that consists Talismans (呪符, Jufu) inside attached to the harness.

Personality[]

Despite being a dog, Nova is shown to be a loyal and kind pet. He can understand what's happening in his surroundings very clearly, for example when he expressed his concerns for Makoto when she arrived Shibuya to assist the others.^[1] And since he is trained to be a therapy dog (and the classic nature of a dog), he’s very friendly, patient, confident, gentle at all times, and at ease in any situation. He is trained to provide affection, comfort and support to his owner/patient.^[2]
