This article, Hatsumen Kyozon, is property of FortniteGod88.
Hatsumen Kyozon is the son of a mythical curse user of 1200+ years who recently died of unknown causes. His mother was murdered by his father which gives him motivation to be strong. He is currently a second year at Jujutsu High. He has up to 30 siblings and half siblings, most of them being dead.
Hatsumen's father overvalued him while manipulating him into adopting his personality and ideals, often getting him to murder and torture others when he was a child. After learning about his family's past and meeting Satoru Gojo, his views and opinions started going against his father. He aspires to be the best sorcerer and align or kill every curse user in Japan. He is classmates with Panda, Yuta Okkotsu, and Toge Inumaki.
Hatsumen is a young man with iridescent eyes and messy grey-ish purple hair, which is clear until about a centimeter from his hair follicles, and has a scar from his lower right neck to his chin and cheek which is split into multiple branches.
He wears a typical Jujutsu uniform with little changes, aside from a collar shrinkage.
Personality[]
Hatsumen is a very arrogant, and short-tempered person who is often distracted and lost in thought. He has hardly any sympathy for most men, and often ignores people in general. He holds a special hatred for those who act superior to Hatsumen upon first meeting.
Despite all of this, Hatsumen tries to suppress these personality traits toward women, which he usually fails at.
Hatsumen likely holds these prejudices from the trauma in his childhood, which was mainly caused by his father, and the effort to give him a better childhood from his mother until she passed away.
Abilities and Powers[]
Overall Skill Level: Being a special grade, Hatsumen is one of the strongest in Jujutsu High, having a confusing and dangerous technique, and little need for much cursed energy. While most of his peers don't see his technique as being all that powerful (mostly because they can't really understand it), a good portion of them are seemingly unable to match his abilities.
Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Hatsumen is a great fighter when it comes to close combat. Even so, he doesn't see much point to it. While training with Maki and Panda in his first year, he developed a mastery to hand-to-hand combat.
Until sometime after the Shibuya Incident, Hatsumen was able to defeat Maki Zen'in with hand-to-hand combat alone. This changed after Maki became fully realized and Hatsumen stopped using hand-to-hand combat regularly, taking complete pride in his technique alone.
Immense Speed: While Hatsumen's attacking speed isn't of concern for him, his movement speed and dodging ability is unparalleled by any Jujutsu sorcerer. While fighting curse user Hajime Kashimo during the culling games, Hatsumen managed to dodge his Lightning Discharge and escape the premises.
Jujutsu[]
Cursed Energy Manipulation
Immense Cursed Energy: Hatsumen has a high reserve of cursed energy, and uses methods to reduce the usage of his cursed energy. He can essentially spam all of his techniques relentlessly and still have a massive amount of cursed energy by the end of the day. Hatsumen has a great understanding of cursed energy and a high intellect on maximizing its effectiveness. His control over his technique is hardly matched, with his first year teacher, Satoru Gojo stating his Six Eyes probably wouldn't be much of use for Hatsumen.
Innate Technique
Altered Lens (改造 玻璃 Kaizō Hari): Hatsumen's cursed technique utilizes cursed energy to envelop the space around the user to create a separate 3-dimensional space called Inai (以内) that aligns with space in the real world. All matter in this dimension distorts and refracts light and gives it a glass-like appearance. Matter in Inai also has a designated forward and backward orientation, depending on the user's desires. If Hatsumen manipulates Inai outwards, either by cursed energy or by allowing something to make physical contact with it, the manipulated matter will misalign and take form in the real world. Matter from Inai can have an infinite sharpness and disappears when shattered. If the matter is manipulated inwards via physical contact, physical matter shows up in Inai. Time does not pass in Inai, and is on a 1:1 scale with the real world. However, conceiving the translated objects from the real world to Inai is difficult for the brain.
First Point Opening (最初点開 Saisho Tenkai): The default form of Altered Lens that only allows a thin, 2-dimensional Inai gateway around Hatsumen. Forward always faces outwards and backward always faces toward him. This gives him a few moves in his arsenal and makes it so physical attacks attempted on Hatsumen without cursed energy are phased into Inai until pulled out.
Transition (遷移 Sen'i): Hatsumen can walk through his Inai gateway that surrounds him to enter Inai, and then exit in the same manner. Hatsumen uses this to travel large distances instantly as time doesn't pass in Inai. He also uses this to speed up his physical attacks and movements, or to simply dodge an attack.
Refraction Spear (屈折槍 Kussetsu Yari): The Inai gateway ejects long, cylindrical glass-like spikes when a large force is applied from behind it. Hatsumen usually flicks or punches to create them, with the spike's length, speed of ejection, and circumference depending on force and surface area of impact. Hatsumen uses this to stab his target with ease.
Maximum Cursed Energy Output Refraction Spear (出 力 最大 「屈折槍」 Shutsuryoku Saidai: Kussetsu Yari): Hatsumen can eject multitudes of Refraction Spears at once utilizing cursed energy instead of physically touching the Inai gateway. He can also eject one massive Refraction Spear instead of multiple using cursed energy.
Refraction Blade (屈折刃 Kussetsu Ha): Hatsumen ejects an infinitely flattened version of Refraction Spear which he uses to slice his target instead of stabbing. Refraction Blade is extremely delicate, with a single flick being enough to shatter it. The maximum length of this technique is around 50 meters without limitations to its end width.
Last Expansion (最後展開 Saigo Tenkai): The amplified form of Altered Lens that allows an expansion of Inai around Hatsumen making it into a 3-dimensional space. He can manually shape this 3-dimensional space up to a full 100-meter sphere around him and create Inai gateways wherever desired. This form grants him a new set of moves in his arsenal, and all attacks are now able to be phased into Inai, with the exception of Hollow Purple, World Cutting Dismantle, and a few others.
Absorption Spear (吸収槍 Kyūshū Yari): The awakened form of Refraction Spear unlocked after using Last Expansion has an immense darkening effect of light that passes through it, and is activated from a distance within Inai. Hatsumen can also use Absorption Spear multiple times simultaneously to stab his target many times at a distance.
Divergence Thorns (逕庭発 Keitei Hatsu): An extension technique which allows Hatsumen to imbue his cursed energy into his Absorption Spears to use them as a medium for manifesting Inai gateways, allowing him to create an infinite amount of Absorption Spears that branch off of each other and bypassing the restriction of where Inai can reach. Hatsumen uses this to reach his target where he normally can't or individually stab many targets simultaneously within a large crowd.
Maximum Output: World Closure (出 力 最大「世界閉鎖」 Shutsuryoku Saidai: Sekai Heisa): Hatsumen crushes a target from a distance by slamming two Inai blocks together with immense force.
Domain Expansion
Altered Reality (改造現実 Kaizō Genjitsu): Hatsumen's Domain Expansion strengthens Inai and allows it to take up 100% of space within his domain. Hatsumen can create Inai gateways anywhere without any restrictions and the sizes of his manifestations are only limited to the size of his domain expansion. The range of Inai ignores physical objects such as human flesh allowing Inai to be present in another's body. Thousands of pitch-black Divergence Thorns branch out and shatter everywhere in random directions. All of Hatsumen's attacks become pitch-black in his domain, similar to the outer walls of a Domain Expansion.
Internal Death Spear (内死槍 Uchi Shi Yari): Hatsumen's target becomes enveloped in pitch-black spikes. These spikes vary in size and length but the amount is set to just barely be enough to kill Hatsumen's target. Hatsumen can only perform this attack if his target is present in his Domain Expansion due to its guaranteed-hit effect.
Binding Vows
Moveset: Hatsumen utilizes a binding vow to split his technique into 2 forms: a "default", and an "awakening". They each have their own moveset that he is limited to. He uses the forms to minimize his cursed energy consumption with his default form (more a nerfed form) throughout most of the day until he needs the extra power with his awakened form. He limits his attacks into movesets to double the strength of each attack and decrease his cursed energy usage even more. Hatsumen based this binding vow on various fighting games he plays.
Domain Limitation: Hatsumen uses this binding vow to limit the range of where he can manipulate Inai to strengthen his attacks.
Hatsumen uses a binding vow to make his World Closure indestructible for 0.1 seconds to prevent it from shattering on impact. This maximizes damage to his target but disables his technique for one second.
Hatsumen triples the length of each Divergence Thorn branch by only being able to perform it while maintaining physical contact.
